Margaret Rees is a very keen member of the Peninsula Art Society at Frankston South.
She has studied dressmaking, millinery, embroidery, cake decorating, flower arranging and photography. She began her exciting art journey at the end of 2006 when she was tutored by Cesar Sanchezat. She now paints mostly in oils and is inspired by nature. She enjoys realism and detail in her art and her subjects include birds, flowers, beach scenes and portraits of children and dogs
Margaret’s paintings have been exhibited throughout the Australian states and also in the USA. She has exhibited and won awards at numerous shows including Mornington, Flinders, Deniliquin, Red Hill, Sommers, Knox, Sorrento and Camberwell.
